"You will never see a late-term abortion on television, so awful is the procedure, and you will never read the details about it. This puzzles me. If we are to have an open discussion, why can't we discuss what happens when a social abortion at 20-plus weeks takes place? We know as a result of advancing medical science that a baby in the womb can feel pain from about 20 weeks into gestation. We have the bizarre situation that in one room in a hospital you will have doctors righting to save the life of a poorly born baby at 21 weeks, and other doctors aborting a healthy baby at 24 weeks. This cannot be right."
